"Great Ski-in/Ski-out House"

5 of 5

A group of 7 guys stayed here for a long weekend in February. It was fantastic. The house is perfectly located on the mountain near Lionshead - it's a 3 minutes walk to the slopes and an 8 minute walk into the village. This house is huge! It had plenty of beds that were super comfortable, bathrooms around every turn, a renovated kitchen, two lounge areas within one great room, a hot tub and plenty of storage for gear in the mudroom and garage. This place is a must stay if you have a large group of people. Liz, at Vail Village Rentals, was very pleasant to work with and communicated well with me throughout the process.

"Great house"

5 of 5

We rented the house for a large group weekend and absolutely loved it. There was enough room for all 10 of us and the common space was great for everyone to eat together. All of us had a great time and would recommend staying here.

"Vail retreat"

5 of 5

One of the nicest properties we've ever stayed in. It is a short and delightful walk to Lionshead and Vail Village, bike rental, hiking and jogging trails, the gondola, and good shops and restaurants. The house is beautifully decorated with lovely artwork and wonderful features, especially the outdoor patio in an aspen forest off the top level of the house. The house was equipped with much better kitchenware for cooking and dining in than any other property we've stayed in. We hope to rent it again in the future.

"Almost Perfect"

4 of 5

Vail Management was great; no hassles. When a DVD player was acting up, a serviceman showed up within a couple hours. The house is beautiful, TV in virtually every room. Three master suites. Kitchen is fully equipped and functional. Three laundrys. Hot tub was busy. Elevator was helpful, (it's 4 stories tall).Ski in and out (within 20 yards, no snow on the road). A short walk to Lionshead village, a 1.5 mile drive to Safeway.Best of all was the fantastic Vail mountain: 65 degree sun and miles and miles of groomed slopes with mountainside dining. Whats not to love.

"Great place and even better location"

5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here. The location was perfect and we could actually ski in and out each day. So many bedrooms and bathrooms and big enough that all 10 of us never felt cramped. My only negatives was there was not enough paper towels, toliet paper. The hot tub wasnt working our first day but was fixed after a quick email and about 2 hours. The kitchen was a little small and out dated but we would definitely come back!

"Our family had a great time."

5 of 5

The duplex is comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and well stocked for entertaining. Everyone had plenty of space to visit and relax. The ski in/out location was very convenient.

Manager Response:

Thank you for your nice review!

We just want to point out that this home is 850 feet from the ski slope, technically not ski-in/ski-out, but close.

Have a wonderful day!

"Average not Platinum"

3 of 5

The house did not meet the description given by Vail Management. It was average at best yet advertised as a "Platinum" property. Very strange layout to the house. Certainly not set up for a ski group or family gathering. Mechanical issues persisted with the hot tub. Lack of interest from Vail Management personel. Spending the kind of money that this house rented for, we expected much more from Vail Management. The location looked good on paper but turned out to be a dissapointmtnt. You will need an auto in order to enjoy the village.

"Worth Repeting"

5 of 5

The house exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable and had all the ameninities you could think of. The location was just perfect. The only negative aspecy was the cleaning service. It was very very basic. We are thinking about renting this property again next year.

"Nice House, Nice Location"

4 of 5

This was a nice house in a great location. We saved at least 40 minutes a day because we could walk less than 3 minutes (unfortunately uphill) to the ski run just above the gondola and walk home (fortunately downhill). We took to running the gear up in the car making the walk a little easier. The more adventurous of us were able to ski right to the home's hot tub. You'll have to figure that out yourself. It is very spacious and furnished very well. The layout on the main living area is a bit strange as it had two living areas each with TV open to each other, but it was fine for a vacation when everyone is hanging out. There were a couple minor issues, but nothing that could not be corrected. The hot tub was operational, but did not seem to filter very well. There was a two car heated garage, but one when we arrived there was a huge SUV parked poorly in one spot. On the far side of the garage away from the door to the house there was a good six feet of space. We could barely fit one of our vans in it and then had no room to throw on ski boots. As a result we gave up parking in the garage. We did have a tough time getting the temperature on the thermostat right as it always seemed hot at night. For Vail you can't get a much better location, particularly if you have a group that head home from the slopes at different times. The house is huge so you won't feel cramped. We were a little worried about getting around, but it was easy. We walked five minutes into Lionshead. We just drove if we wanted to go to Vail Village and parking was very easy at night. Everything was so close.

Manager Response:

Thank you for your review!

We will be sure to park the owner's SUV closer to the wall. Sorry about that.

And we have already sent the hot tub service company out to change out the water.

Best,
