"Third time is still a charm"
This is our third stay in this unit and the fourth at the Westwind. Location cannot be beat - walk to the gondola in Lionshead in the morning. Traveled with husband and college age son. Kitchen is well equipped and we ate breakfast in the unit every day and made a couple dinners there. No laundry in unit, but coin op laundry in basement. There are storage lockers in the garage for skis. TVs in both bedrooms and the living area, a deck. Very comfortable. Daily maid service. Outside hot tubs and heated pool make for great apres ski.

""nice stay and comfort""
very nice stay and comfort everywhere, the apartment is great and clean, just a bit noisy from the sealing but really great experience.

Great location in Lionshead. Good value. Clean. Maid service everyday to pick up trash, make beds and replace towels. Some things in the condo need to be repaired but did not impact our stay. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 11,11 and 7. We had plenty of room. The outdoor pool was a plus as my kids swam every evening after skiing. I would have no problem staying there again in the future.

"We had a fantastic vacation!"
We always stay at the Westwind and will in the future. The managers and entire staff are fantastic people. The condo was beautiful.

"Just what our family of 5 was looking for"
When traveling with three kids, finding affordable lodging that's slope side or walking distance to the slopes and where each kid has their own bed, is always a challenge. The Westwind unit we stayed in perfectly met our needs. The master, king, suite provided some space and privacy for my wife and I. We put two of our kids in the 2nd bedroom. Each had their own twin bed. And our oldest slept on the sleeper sofa in the living room. The kids' bath is accessible from both the living room and the 2nd bedroom. We used the well stocked kitchen daily for breakfast and heating up leftovers for apres ski. We never failed to find space in the builing's two hot tubs, and the outdoor heated pool was surprisingly warm and pleasant. Beware of icy decking around the hot tub which is a bit hazardous. It's an easy downhill walk to the slopes aided by an elevator in the building and an escalator in Lionshead. Of course, what goes down must go up, so it's a bit tiring at the end of the day, but the rental shop was halfway and we could dump our gear there nightly. If we return to Vail, we'd definitely stay here again.

"Very Pleased with Unit and Location"
We were very happy with this condo unit. Everything was in fine shape, clean and well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, books, blankets, etc. Nice and easy gas fireplace. Bbq in the courtyard. Hot tub and pool. And just a few minutes walk to the slopes. The folks at the desk were incredibly friendly and helpful.

"Ecstatic Customer had a wonderful ski vacation."
The general manager Jeff Jacobs and the office manager Dawn Moe were excellent to work with. Every expectation of our stay was met or exceeded by these individuals. The facility has been maintained in excellent condition and is very convenient to all services like shops, restaurants, ski lifts, etc. Unit 308 has likewise been maintained in an excellent manner and came with a fully equipped and well appointed kitchen. The unit owners clearly take a lot of pride in this, their mountain vacation retreat. Covered parking, ski lockers, elevator, and an outdoor grill with an adjacent firepit added to the value of this stay. Based on many days at multiple locations in Vail over the years, this was a terrific value.

"Great Value for the Location"
Beautiful condo at an affordable price. Check-in was confusing because we didn't know ahead of time that office hours in the off-season (summer) only went until 4pm, and we were arriving from Denver on a late flight. Luckily we had friends already there who could grab our room key for us. Only complaint about the room was the a bath towel was dirty (had toothpaste on it that wasn't ours), but otherwise very clean. Great location--can walk or take the shuttle bus to anything in Lionshead and Vail Village. Perfect for couples, groups, or families.

"Great Vail value, epic snow!"
Westwind has a great location. Accommodations met expectations - clean and comfortable. Steps to the lifts. Hot tub, pool, parking, staff are great. Recent Lionshead area building is world class.

"Ski Trip Vacation"
Only problem was we had reserved a "platinum" 2 bedroom unit as did my sister and her family. We felt that her unit was larger and much nicer than ours. We were also told that our unit had a "flat screen tv" in each room (our original room was 202). Upon discussing our issues with the front desk, they were very accommodating about changing our room. We were moved to two bedroom "gold" unit which I thought was nicer than the platinum we were originally in. Also, I think we were charged for the platinum room after we moved to the gold. Bottom line, though, is we would certainly stay at the westwind again and request specific rooms now that we were able to see them.

We had a great time. Excellent Location, a lot of places that advertise "walk to lifts" include a half a mile "walk to the lift", but the Westwind is really close. The communal space was fairly small, there was a pullout couch, but if we had tried to cram 6 people in, it would have been tight. The rooms were nice, and overall it was a good value. After hours check in was seamless. One of the hot tubs was not making bubbles, but they have two and it was never crowded.
