Bustang

Connecting Vail, Beaver Creek & Denver
Bustang is a statewide public bus service operated by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) that provides regional transportation between Denver and mountain communities, including Vail, Avon, and the Beaver Creek area.
For travelers arriving from Denver, two convenient statewide transit options operated by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) provide direct service to the Vail Valley: the Bustang West Line and Pegasus.
The Bustang West Line is a regional bus service running along the I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction, with key stops including Vail and Avon. It’s a reliable, budget-friendly option for reaching the mountains, especially for guests with standard luggage or ski gear.
For a more direct and limited-stop experience, Pegasus operates as a smaller express shuttle (sprinter van style) on the same Denver–Avon corridor. Pegasus uses I-70 express lanes when available, which can help reduce travel time compared to larger buses. It offers fewer stops between Denver, Vail, and Avon—making it a faster option for point-to-point travel.
Both services connect Denver Union Station with Avon and the surrounding resort communities, and can be paired with the RTD A Line from Denver International Airport for a car-free travel option into the mountains.
